Annual renewals start November 1, 2022.  Please log into your NMLS account to process your renewal for 2023.  All requirements in NMLS must be satisfied to process the renewal request.

***Licensees that fail to complete the renewal process before 12/31/2022 will not be authorized to conduct business as of 1/1/2023***




File a Complaint

To avoid any delay investigating your complaint, please be sure to file with the correct agency as listed below. The Division will attempt to forward any incorrect filings to the appropriate agency.

  1. For complaints regarding a Consumer Loan ("Personal Loan" or "Title Loan") or a Deferred Presentment Transaction ("Payday Loan") please file with the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs.

  2. For complaints regarding a Mortgage Loan through a Bank, please file with the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

  3. For complaints related to any other Mortgage Loan, please file with our Division. You may email us at Please list “Mortgage Complaints” in the subject line of the email. In your email please include your full name and a brief description of your complaint. Do not include any attachments or personal information i.e. social security numbers, account numbers, credit/ debit card numbers, etc. once your complaint has been received and reviewed, someone will contact you with instructions on how to send the necessary documents securely. If you prefer you may mail your complaint via U.S Mail to the below address.
